Daylilies_ Part 2_July 4, 2019
The fog comes boiling in, coats raucous den
It's coolness against summer scorched plants
Like a healing balm over wounded skin
Or a very calming tea for troubled rants
It can't touch upon daylilies' blossom
For their season of orange is somehow spent
One more proof early fall will arrive, awesome
Cool nights with color change, just a hint
In life, seasons come, and slowly go
We desire for change to come, independence
To be on our own, make choices, our row hoe
Our own decisions make, put up our fence
Soon realize we've reached our fall or winter
Our seasons used like the daylily's sliver
Finis'
We only have a sliver of time/ how do we spend it?
